The Hundred Year Association of New York awarded a total of $12,500 to seven civil servants whose achievements ranged from working at multiple city agencies to working for the city for 40 years at the Isaac Liberman Public Service Awards Dec. 6, with Citywide Administrative Services Commissioner Lisette Camilo on hand to honor the winners at Carnegie Hall.
K. Toi Washington-Simon, who won the top $3,500 prize that was sponsored by this newspaper, has been at three city agencies. After working in various positions at the Department of Education recruiting Teachers and providing professional development for Principals, she left to get a Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy at the College of New Jersey.
