Union Leaders Hope To Build on Victory By W. Va. Teachers

Leaders of both private- and public-sector unions are hailing the successful West Virginia Teachers' strike as a watershed moment in the history of the American labor movement.

After a nine-day illegal strike by the 20,000 Teachers, Gov. Jim Justice and a Republican legislature ended up acquiescing to their demands for a five-percent raise without any healthcare givebacks.
