Fire officers have ratified their union contract with an overwhelming 82.5 percent in favor, Uniformed Fire Officers Association President James Lemonda announced.
The seven-year pact delivers 11 percent in raises and expires in March 2018. About 87 percent of members voted, a historic level, and the final tally was 1,957 in favor and 416 against.
