The animated campaign over who will run Transport Workers Union Local 100 is in full swing, offering the 40,000 members starkly contrasting platforms and divergent visions of how to best advance union members’ interests.

President Tony Utano, the former vice president of the Local 100’s Maintenance of Way Division, was elected by the local’s executive board in September 2017 after John Samuelsen vacated the job to become International President of the Transport Workers Union of America.
