TWU Invokes ‘Sandy’ To Make Case For Raises

As the mayoral candidates prepped their talking points for their debates, Transport Workers Union Local 100 was already looking ahead to a new administration, running radio ads aimed at gaining raises in the successor to a contract that’s already been expired for nearly two years.

The 60-second spots on news and talk-radio stations played during peak hours days before the anniversary of Hurricane Sandy Oct. 29, touting employees’ work restarting the system after the tragedy.
