Trump’s Potential Impact on Education Hangs Over UFT ‘Futures’ Conference

No one knows just what will happen to the nation’s public schools come January, including the Teachers. But the potential for dramatic shifts in public-education policy under the Trump administration colored much of the discussion at the Nov. 16 United Federation of Teachers conference, where panels kicked around reform ideas that could become part of the future.

The morning’s first panel focused on integration of city schools.
