If there was any doubt that state Attorney General Barbara Underwood would continue her predecessor’s aggressive posture toward President Trump, it was dispelled when she filed a lawsuit June 14 against the family foundation, Mr. Trump and three of his children.
The complaint “alleges a pattern of persistent illegal conduct, occurring over more than a decade, that includes extensive unlawful political coordination with the Trump presidential campaign, repeated and willful self-dealing transactions to benefit Mr. Trump’s personal and business interests, and violations of basic legal obligations for nonprofit foundations,” according to an announcement from Ms. Underwood’s office.
