Triangle Fire Centennial: A Renewed Sense of Purpose

On March 25, 1911, in the Asch Building near Washington Square, fire ripped through the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory, killing 146 garment workers locked inside. They were mostly women, almost all immigrants, between the ages of 14 and 25.
