An inmate at the Brooklyn House of Detention ganged up with two others Aug. 7 to assault a Correction Officer, punching him repeatedly and breaking bones in his face and leaving him unconscious.
Surveillance video showed a shirtless inmate coming up the stairs, opening an unlocked door and squaring off with the CO, who is a head shorter than he is. Two more shirtless inmates charge up the stairs and through the door. They and the first inmate drag the officer out of camera range.
