After much chivvying, including a New York Post front page depicting him in a chicken suit, Governor Cuomo agreed Oct. 21 to debate Republican challenger Marc Molinaro, according to CBS New York.
The organization, which was to host the debate on its news-radio and television stations, said it was scheduled to be aired Oct. 23, the day after this newspaper goes to press. A tweet from Cuomo campaign aide Lis Smith said the debate would be aired at 7 p.m. The two candidates were to be questioned by WCBS-TV’s Marcia Kramer and WCBS-radio’s Rich Lamb.
