The State Education Department has substantiated several of the claims of two targeted Teachers who reported that the special-education students in their schools were not receiving mandated services—but they say they are still being harassed.
Carmen Applewhite and Jamillah Salahuddin have previously shared their experiences of allegedly being harassed by their schools’ Principals after filing grievances when students with special needs did not get services that were required by the State Education Law.
