Suspend Brooklyn Chief Of Board of Elections For Mass Voter Purge

The Board of Elections suspended Brooklyn Borough Office Chief Diane Haslett-Rudiano April 21 in response to investigations by State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and City Comptroller Scott Stringer after 125,000 people were purged from the borough’s rolls and other irregularities citywide marred the April 19 primary election.

Ms. Haslett-Rudiano was suspended without pay by the Commissioners’ Executive Committee pending an internal probe into the voter rolls.
