Success Academy was granted $9.8 million to expand its network of charter schools by the U.S. Department of Education, and founder Eva Moskowitz seized the moment to chide her longtime foe Mayor de Blasio for not providing enough space to serve its students.
The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Innovation and Improvement’s Charter Schools Program awarded 15 charter operators around the country Charter Schools Program grants, with the city’s largest charter network among those selected, Success Academy announced April 16.
