The only NYPD officer to face administrative charges in the 2014 death of Eric Garner thought her ordeal was ending.
Sgt. Kizzy Adonis, a supervisor at Staten Island’s 120th Precinct who arrived at the scene of Mr. Garner’s arrest after Officer Daniel Pantaleo had wrestled him to the ground, had spent three years on modified duty without her weapon and badge, charged with failure to supervise.
