S.I. Chief Assistant DA Master Steps In To Replace Donovan

Daniel L. Master Jr., who had been Chief Assistant District Attorney in Staten Island for the past 11 years, was sworn in May 12 as Acting District Attorney.

He replaced Dan Donovan, who took the oath the same day as a new U.S. Representative from Staten Island and a slice of Brooklyn. Mr. Donovan, who was elected to his first term as DA in 2003, was chosen in a special election to replace Michael Grimm, who resigned from Congress after he was convicted of tax fraud.
