Following the retirement of Faisal Zouhbi, Joseph Russo, a 22-year veteran of the city Department of Correction, was elected to succeed him as president of the Assistant Deputy Wardens/Deputy Wardens Association.
Mr. Russo, who had been vice president of the union since January 2016, oversees the Brooklyn/Staten Island Court Divisions for the DOC. Mr. Zouhbi, who headed the ADW/DWA for three years, retired from the jail system after 20 years.
