Though incumbent president Claude Fort was the top vote-getter in a re-run officers’ election at Local 375 of District Council 37, he didn’t meet the threshold to avoid a run-off, according to the April 28 ballot totals.
The resulting runoff will push the presidential contest into a third round after a December election result was vacated due to irregularities by an American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Judicial Panel.
