The New York State Nurses Association Oct. 31 endorsed Max Rose in his bid to unseat Staten Island Congressman Dan Donovan, which is the most closely-watched city House of Representatives contest.
Pat Kane, the treasurer of the 42,000-member union, said following a press conference at Staten Island Borough Hall that Mr. Rose, an Afghanistan War veteran, “has a keen awareness of the health-care needs of the communities he will serve and will fight in Washington to preserve funding for health care, with special regard for the underserved.”
