A 17-year NYPD veteran who was convicted of participating in several armed robberies of drugs and cash, some of them while on duty and in uniform, was sentenced March 12 to 18 years in Federal prison.
Jose Felix Tejada, 47, of Mahopac in Putnam County, was found guilty by juries in two trials, one in November 2013 and the second in June 2014, on charges including obstruction of justice, robbery and conspiracy to distribute cocaine and heroin.
