The Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association of Rockland County last week endorsed Woodbury Police Chief Richard Vasquez in his election challenge to incumbent Sheriff Louis Falco III, who the union says is insensitive to the needs of officers in the county jail.
“We’re the first union in Rockland to support him,” COBARC President John Cocuzza said of Mr. Vasquez, who announced his candidacy March 23.
