The City Council’s Committee on Labor and Civil Service renewed its call for Congress to reauthorize the Zadroga Act April 1, calling on lawmakers to—as sponsor Margaret Chin put it—“fulfill a responsibility to our community.”
Ms. Chin, a Democrat whose district covers the site of the World Trade Center, introduced a similar resolution last year that was approved by the Council, and submitted it this time along with Democratic Council Members Paul Vallone and I. Daneek Miller. It currently has 19 co-sponsors.
