REMEMBERING BOROUGH’S VIETNAM VETS: Queens Borough President Melinda Katz and other city and elected officials joined with veterans of the Vietnam War in breaking ground Nov. 29 on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Elmhurst Park. According to the Queens chapter of Vietnam Veterans of America, 420 residents of the borough lost their lives while serving in that conflict.
