Push to Help Women, Minorities Gain More Government Contracts

City and state officials have announced plans for new anti-discrimination legislation to prohibit bias in government contracting.

While both the New York City and New York State Human Rights Laws are designed to protect minorities, women and members of the LGBTQ community from discriminatory business practices, they don’t mention government contracts.
