It’s finally an official rule: prostate cancer has been added to the list of illnesses covered under the Federal Zadroga Act. But Sept. 11 health advocates aren’t slowing down yet.
For those who developed the disease after working at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11—including likely hundreds of first-responders—the decision means they’ll receive free medical care and, if they register in time, can be compensated for lost wages and other economic hardship.
