A special investigator announced Nov. 8 that although she believed the women who said former State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman had abused them, it was not possible to bring charges against him.
Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas, whom Governor Cuomo asked to look into the allegations said in a statement, “I believe the women who shared their experiences with our investigation team. However, legal impediments, including statutes of limitations, preclude criminal prosecution.”
