An NYPD officer was one of two people arrested March 13 on charges of heroin trafficking and firearms offenses.
Officer Yessenia Jimenez, 31, of The Bronx was charged in Manhattan Federal Court along with Luis Soto, 34, also of The Bronx, with conspiracy to distribute at least 100 grams of heroin, possession of that quantity of heroin with intent to distribute, and using and carrying a firearm in relation to heroin trafficking. The maximum sentence upon conviction is life in prison.
