PBA Process to Oppose Cop-Killers' Paroles Secretly Stymied by Board

An online process initiated by the Police Benevolent Association designed to funnel opposition to the release of people convicted of killing police officers was discontinued by the state Parole Board five years ago, without the union’s knowledge.

PBA President Patrick J. Lynch wrote the Parole Board Chairwoman demanding that the board and DOCCS “immediately resume” accepting and considering the letters via a portal on the PBA’s website.
