The second week of the trial of Police Officer Peter Liang, charged with manslaughter and criminally-negligent homicide in the shooting death of a man who entered a housing-project stairwell as the officer’s gun went off, figures to be highlighted by testimony from Mr. Liang’s partner.
Officer Shaun Landau was expected to testify Monday, but because a juror had gone to the emergency room for treatment of a swollen knee, Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Danny K. Chun adjourned the proceedings until Feb. 2, the day this newspaper hit the stands.
