Panel Weighs Big Raise For State Legislators

New York State legislators, who make $79,500, not counting stipends and other benefits, are the country’s third-best paid, ranking behind just their California and Pennsylvania colleagues.

For all that, the state’s Senators and Assembly Members haven’t received a raise in 20 years.
