Workers with permanent injuries that leave them unable to do their jobs typically receive less than 10 percent of their lost wages in state Workers’ Compensation benefits, according to a new report.
The New York Committee for Occupational Safety & Health and the Workers’ Compensation Alliance, a group of plaintiffs’ lawyers, looked at the effects of the 2007 changes they say left the lowest-paid and most-seriously-injured workers vulnerable.
