From July 2005 through October 2017, the New York City Employees’ Retirement System rejected 29 World Trade Center disability claims submitted by uniformed members of the Department of Correction and approved 24, according to data released to this newspaper by NYCERS in response to a Freedom of Information Law request. Twenty-two applications are still pending.
