Four additional types of cancer were added Feb. 14 to the list of ailments for which Sept. 11 first-responders can receive free health care and compensation under the Federal Zadroga Act.
Pancreatic, testicular, and certain types of brain and cervical cancers were classified as rare cancer types, a category already covered under the law, enabling the World Trade Center Health Program and Victim Compensation Fund to immediately cover the illnesses without waiting for a mandatory comment period.
