A former state Correction Officer who pleaded guilty to beating a 54-year-old inmate at Downstate Correctional Facility as other officers held him down on the floor and then lying about it was sentenced Sept. 14 to 40 months in prison.
Carson Morris, 33, now of Coconut Creek, Fla., must surrender Dec. 10, ordered U.S. District Judge Kenneth M. Karas.
