Mayor de Blasio announced March 15 that former state Secretary of State Cesar Perales would head the city’s Charter Revision Commission, which was formed to, among other things, lower the maximum amounts political candidates can receive in campaign contributions.
Mr. Perales, who served as the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services under former Mayor David Dinkins while Mr. de Blasio was a City Hall staffer, has over 50 years in public service.
