Mayor’s Budget Boosts Health Fund, Is Noncommittal on Labor Contracts

Mayor de Blasio Feb. 12 unveiled a proposed budget with no significant reductions and more than $1 billion set aside for the retiree health-benefit trust fund, saying he wanted to end the “cynical dance” of the Bloomberg administration where the same cuts were always proposed and later averted with City Council funding.
