Emerging from closed-door meetings, Mayor Bill de Blasio and seven local members of Congress appeared on the steps of City Hall Nov. 9 to urge lawmakers to make the Zadroga Act permanent.
Mr. de Blasio and 23 other Mayors and county executives sent a letter that day to House Speaker Paul Ryan urging him to make health care and compensation for Sept. 11 victims a priority.
