LABOR STRENGTH ON PARADE: The Labor Day Parade Sept. 8 featured Governor Cuomo marching up Fifth Ave. with State AFL-CIO President Mario Cilento to his right and Grand Marshal and United Federation of Teachers Michael Mulgrew to his left, alongside Vincent Alvarez, head of the AFL-CIO New York City Council, which sponsored the event. Mr. Cuomo’s pro-labor policies in recent years have garnered him overwhelming support in the Sept. 13 Democratic primary against Cynthia Nixon.
