The man accused of murdering Police Officer Randolph Holder last month was sentenced to 12 years in prison Nov. 12 for failing to enter a drug-treatment program as ordered, sparking a rhetorical battle between the Judge and Mayor de Blasio over his release after earlier crimes.
When Tyrone Howard, 30, was arrested a year ago for selling crack, he’d already amassed four previous convictions for selling drugs and one—which had been sealed—for armed robbery as a juvenile. He’d been arrested 28 times as an adult.
