The de Blasio administration is opening a job-placement center in Sunset Park to help residents find work in the neighborhood’s industrial and manufacturing sectors.
The Workforce1 effort, led by the city Economic Development Corporation and Department of Small Business Services, will help connect residents to the resurgence of manufacturing in the industrial complexes on the Sunset Park waterfront. The center will offer candidate and recruitment services such as career-planning, job-search assistance and training.
