Three Rikers Island inmates were charged Feb. 19 with bribing a nurse working for a city contractor to smuggle alcohol, tobacco and drugs into the Anna M. Kross Center last year, the Department of Investigation announced.
The three inmates—Kevin Lides, 25, Howard Powell, 56, and Trent Paterson, 49—were indicted on charges of promoting prison contraband in the first degree and bribery in the third degree.
