A member of an Orthodox Jewish civilian patrol who was charged with paying members of the NYPD gun-licensing division to obtain firearms permits pleaded guilty Nov. 10 to bribery charges.
Alex Lichtenstein was caught up in a scandal involving top NYPD commanders and two contributors to Mayor de Blasio’s 2013 campaign, Jeremy Reichberg and Jona Rechnitz, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said in June.
