Four city Emergency Medical Service workers who succumbed to Sept. 11-related illness were among those honored in Albany May 17 for their line-of-duty deaths.
Their names, along with those of two state EMS responders, were inscribed on the Tree of Life Memorial in Empire State Plaza. A gallery of elected officials eulogized them, and family members were presented with flags in their honor.
