It’s possible that Rudy Giuliani has been spending so much time lately serving as the voice of President Trump’s mania regarding the probe by Special Counsel Robert Mueller into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian interests because it keeps him distracted from his messy personal life.
In early April, his third wife, Judi Nathan Giuliani, announced she was filing for divorce. On the one hand, this wasn’t shocking given his past record: his first marriage lasted 14 years, his second one, 18 years, and so after 15 years with Judi, he was about due for another dissolution. On the other hand, his adulterous behavior had been a major factor in the break-up of the earlier marriages, and given the fact that he recently turned 74, it would have seemed likely that even if his libido was still going strong, he wasn’t quite the sex machine he imagined himself in his younger days.
