One of President Trump’s big problems in his war of words with Bob Woodward about his new book, “Fear: Trump in the White House,” is that Mr. Woodward has a long history of truth-telling about Presidents going back to his coverage of Richard Nixon during Watergate, while Mr. Trump has an equally long history of lying about matters both great and small.

And so the phrase “consider the source” was particularly apt when the President denounced the scathing chronicle of his first year in the White House as a “scam,” tweeting that “the Woodward book is a joke, just another assault against me in a barrage of assaults using now disproven unnamed and anonymous sources.”
