Last year, we noted the similarities—and not in a flattering way—between Donald Trump and the Reverend Al Sharpton, with the main difference besides complexion being that Mr. Trump grew up in considerably more-affluent circumstances and in a two-parent household.
Mr. Sharpton seemed determined to remind us that the shoe fits in the final days of the campaign for the Congressional seat being vacated by Charlie Rangel, who is retiring at the end of this year after 46 years as a U.S. Representative for much of Upper Manhattan and, in recent years, a piece of The Bronx.
