Governor Cuomo made it to the March 28 Inner Circle Show at the New York Hilton for the first time but didn’t stay past the cocktail party to listen to himself be satirized. U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara, on the other hand, stayed for the charity roast, in which he figured prominently in six of the second-act songs.
Mayor de Blasio in his rebuttal to the group’s send-up utilized Louis CK as his scabrously funny self-conscious telling reporters what he really thought of them. Julie Halston hilariously reprised her 2014 performance as an Upper East Side dowager with one word of advice for the Mayor: “Move!”
