Watching a handful of probationary Firefighters pose for photos onstage after the May 5 FDNY graduation, the pride in Thompson Plyler’s voice was evident.
A trainer at New York Sports Club, the ex-Marine works with the United Women Firefighters to whip female candidates into shape before they enter the Fire Academy. He coached two of this class’s three female graduates, Hildana Santana and Nia Terrelonge.
