Though he got his job because his predecessor had joined the growing ranks of Albany legislators facing corruption charges, the new Senate Majority Leader, John Flanagan, said he doesn’t expect any further action this year on strengthening ethics laws.
“We obviously made some changes this year,” he said May 12, the day after he replaced Dean Skelos. “I would be surprised if there were further changes before the end of session.”
