A white police officer who is believed to have shouted a racial slur during a 2011 standoff that ended with cops fatally shooting a 68-year-old black U.S. Marine veteran has been fired, White Plains police confirmed last week.
“It’s a small but significant step in getting justice for the murder of my father,” Kenneth Chamberlain Jr. told the Journal-News of Westchester in reaction to the dismissal.
