DeBlasio Puts Hold on Reduction In Firefighters at 20 Engine Companies

Two days day after the Uniformed Firefighters Association held a press conference sounding the alarm that the de Blasio Administration planned to cut the fifth Firefighters from the 20 engine companies that have one, the two sides met and it was agreed the city would hold off on the reductions pending future conversations. 

On April 3, Uniformed Firefighters Association President Gerard Fitzgerald sat down with First Deputy Mayor Dean Fuleihan and City Labor Commissioner Renee Campion.
